Banga-dhona Yortaitjumatj – Kooris Live Healthy (Chronic Illness Workshops)
Kooris Live Healthy is free programme hosted by Central Coast Primary Care for Koori people aged 18-35. Men and women are invited to attend these series of chronic illness awareness and prevention workshops that will focus on a different area of chronic illness each week for six weeks.
Topics that will be covered include:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Liver disease
- Mental Health
- Respiratory disease
There will also be assistance with providing referrals and support for anyone who may be experiencing early symptoms.
The program will run every Friday from 11am to 1.15pm from 15 February to 23 March 2019. The sessions are located at Mingaletta – 6 Sydney Avenue, Umina and a free lunch will be provided.
