Employment Opportunity: Aboriginal Family Dispute Resolution Service Intake Administration Officer
The Role
Bungree Aboriginal Association is an Aboriginal Community based organisation which provides a wide range of services to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As the largest Aboriginal not for profit organisation on the Central Coast, Bungree is a multi-service organisation delivering programs and services to the Central Coast, as well as parts of Newcastle and the Upper Hunter in New South Wales.
This service is a new program that commenced in 2023 to establish culturally safe and appropriate family dispute resolution for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, with the aim of resolving family law disputes out of court.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Intake/Administration Officer role is a pivotal position in the program as you will:
• Be first point of contact either face to face, over phone, or online with customers or potential customers of the FDR service and provide information as required.
• Conduct initial intake appointments with participants and accurately record intake data and information.
• Schedule participant appointment/s.
• Assist with reception and office duties such as answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and greeting/meeting site visitors, and assisting with general office management and duties as required.
Skills and experience required
Previous experience in an administration and customer service role.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to relate to clients and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• High level professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Confirmation of Aboriginality
• Flu Shot – Bungree is a mandatory FLU SHOT workplace (if for medical reasons you cannot get the flu shot, please provide evidence)

• National Police Check
• Valid Working with Children’s Check
• Valid Driver’s Licence
