Bungree Health Service aims to provide quality primary health care and complex condition management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living on the Central Coast. We operate through a partnership between Bungree Aboriginal Association Limited (Bungree) and the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) – Nunyara Aboriginal Health Unit. Our service aims to provide eligible patients with acute and ongoing primary health care that is compassionate, up-to-date, and culturally safe.

Bungree Health Service provides the following primary health care services relevant to the individual’s health care needs:
- Preventative health checks (715 health checks)
- Women’s health
- Men’s health
- Children’s health and baby checks
- Immunisations
- Chronic disease management
- Diabetes management and education
- Sexual health
- Skin cancer checks
- Mental health assessments
Access and eligibility
To be eligible for primary health care services with our service you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander OR
- Be a current client of Bungree Aboriginal Association

We also take referrals directly from our referring partner organisations using our referral form. Patients referred to our service will be contacted by a member of our team to schedule their initial appointment.
Initial appointments are scheduled to be 1 hour in duration. After your initial appointment, our standard appointments are scheduled to be 30 minutes in duration. If you require a longer appointment due to a complex issue or have multiple problems that need addressing, you can book a long appointment or contact our reception to discuss. We also offer telehealth appointments, but please be aware you may need to come in for face-to-face follow-up.
Appointment reminders will be sent electronically to your mobile phone prior to the appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know in advance.

- Clinic hours: Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Urgent care:
o If it’s an emergency, always call triple zero (000)
o For urgent care advice, you can call healthdirect on 1800 022 222 to speak with a registered nurse and you may be referred to an Urgent Care Service
o Alternatively, you can call 13SICK on 137 425 to request a telehealth appointment or home visit.
