Population Health

Population health refers to the health status, health factors and health outcomes within a group of people. Bungree’s Population Health team works to address health factors in order to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people on the Central Coast.

Services offered under Bungree’s Population Health team include the Aboriginal Go4Fun Program.

Aboriginal Go4Fun Program

Aboriginal Go4Fun is a free healthy lifestyle program for children in New South Wales aged between 7 to 13 years, who are above a healthy weight and their families.

The program was developed in partnership with Aboriginal communities and is delivered by Bungree Education Gaps Program together with Central Coast Local Health District.

The program is run by trained health and community professionals and is a fun way to improve healthy eating habits, increase fitness and build self-esteem towards a healthy lifestyle.

Aboriginal Go4Fun includes:

  • Aboriginal support staff
  • Traditional Indigenous games
  • Tailored resources

Children participating in the program receive great healthy lifestyle information, all delivered in a culturally tailored way for Aboriginal families and communities, encouraging the whole community to join in.
