Bungree’s Community Transport Services offers transport services for our elders, ageing, people with a disability and to people who are transport disadvantaged.
Bungree provides much needed transportation assistance to members of the Aboriginal community across the Central Coast LGA.
Bungree’s Community Transport services key objectives are to assist our community to take part on activities that promote inclusion and to obtain goods and services required for daily living including shopping for groceries, medical services and other essential services if eligible.
Bungree’s Community Transport Services are funded by NSW and Commonwealth agencies with different eligibility criteria for access to transport services.
Eligibility
Eligible customers means a person who:
- requires transport service for a medical, social, recreational or shopping purpose
- has limited or no access to private or public transport due to: geographic location, when they need to travel, financial resources, physical or cognitive capacities
- is not receiving funded transport through another government subsidised programs, including other program or service agency
Who is not eligible to receive services:
- those having adequate access to public or private transportation options
- those already receiving services from another funded government service provider such as residential care, community care
- those needed transport for employment, education (including vocational training) or early intervention programs such as preschools.
